The 19th GE Gas Turbine 9FA / FB Users Conference is going to take place in Dubai – United Arab Emirates during the period from 18th to 20th Jan 2010 at Hyatt Regency Hotel – Deira, Dubai. This international conference is sponsored by Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) – Government of Dubai, which is presently operating 3 GE 9FA gas turbines at its L – Power Station. All GE Gas Turbine 9FA / FB Gas Turbine Users are welcome to discuss latest developments, persisting problems and share their experience and knowledge in operation and maintenance of Frame-9F A/B gas turbines. The conference will also be attended by GE engineers who will be given a slot for their presentations and opportunity to reply to users questions.

Registration & Participation

Registration and Participation in GE Conference is FREE. However users need to arrange and pay for their travel and accommodation expenses in Dubai during the conference. Otherwise, attending the conference is free of any charges for the users inclusive of the meals and snacks as per table. The users need to take care of and pay for their visa, if needed (please click to find list of nationalities which do not require visa to enter United Arab Emirates). Visa can be arranged by the hotel. You can also apply for visa directly with the Department of Naturalization and Residency. Please click.

We have negotiated preferential hotel room rates for the users with Hyatt Regency Hotel where the conference will be held at a rate starting from USD 240 per day including breakfast. However, the users should ensure early booking in order to avail the special rates for hotel rooms and ensure availability of the rooms which are blocked for the conference.

If your spouse plans to accommodate you during your travel to Dubai, please inform the hotel. We do not expect any changes in room rates if your spouse accompanies you in the same room.

Beside the welcome party on arrival date, DEWA will host a dinner on a dhow in Dubai famous creek for the users on the first day of the conference (Monday 18-Jan-2010), while on the second day GE will hold dinner party for the users (Tuesday 19-Jan-2010).
