Conservation Award

‘Conservation Award - For A Better Tomorrow, 2010’ is in its sixth year; an integral part of DEWA’s strategic initiative in partnership with KHDA to combat global warming and climate change - in line with Dubai’s concern for environment sustainability.

‘Conservation Award - For A Better Tomorrow’ besides motivating the participants, essentially aims to promote and instil a culture of conservation amongst the learning community in schools, colleges and universities. Knowing well, when the impressionable minds are taught at an early age, the way they should responsibly use our natural resources, is better tomorrow guaranteed – for generations to come.

Vision:
Reduce electricity and water consumption levels in Dubai below the rate of worldwide average.
Mission:
To reduce electricity and water consumption levels in Dubai at all government and private educational institutions. To promote social responsibility through rational utility-consumption practices by students, staff at both educational institutions and residences in Dubai. To motivate and recognize students, staff, school employees and residents in Dubai for their conservation efforts to preserve UAE’s natural resources.

"To effectively reduce the consumption level of electricity and water, lower than the average worldwide rate."
