DEWA main objective is to affirm itself as an 'Environment Friendly Organization'. Other environmental objectives of DEWA are:

	Enhancing environment protection as one of DEWA's strategic values.
	Establishing an Environment Management System which compares performance with internationally accepted benchmarks for ensuring continuous improvement.
	Spreading environmental awareness among DEWA's employees and the public.
	Approval and application of recycling programs, reduction of wastage rates administrative initiatives in power generation and desalination.
	Reduction of effects of the DEWA's operations on the environment.
