HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer welcomes delegation from SAP at World Government Summit

During the World Governments Summit, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Chairman of Data Hub Integrated Solutions (MORO), received a delegation from SAP, the global software leader. The delegation included Steve Tzikakis, president of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) South, and Gergi Abboud, Senior VP at SAP for Middle East South.

The meeting was attended by Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence, Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Business Support, Marwan Bin Haidar, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future, and Khawla Al Mehairi, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Government Communications at DEWA.

The meeting comes after last year’s Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MORO and SAP to cooperate in various areas including research and development in IT, energy and other domains. The partnership covers developing innovative solutions through MORO and accelerating digital solutions in the government and private sectors in the UAE and the region.

“DEWA collaborates with many global enterprises and launches many programmes, initiatives and promising projects in line with the National Innovation Strategy, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform the UAE to one of the most innovative countries in the world. Our efforts also support the Smart Dubai initiative to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world, through supporting innovative solutions related to the Internet of Things (IoT),” said Al Tayer.
