50 DEWA employees take part in NAS Night Challenge

50 DEWA employees take part in NAS Night Challenge

50 employees from Dubai Water & Energy Authority (DEWA) participated in the NAS Night Challenge in the 7th Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament. Dubai Sports Council organises the annual tournament under the patronage and directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, with prizes exceeding AED 6 million.

“DEWA’s top management attaches great importance to the participation of its employees in various sports activities and championships in Dubai. The management believes in the importance of sports in enhancing mental and physical abilities and skills as well as stimulating positive competition. DEWA’s participation in the NAS Night Challenge supports our commitment to encouraging staff to take part in sports competitions and physical activities due to their importance in promoting a healthy lifestyle, stimulating positive energy, and strengthening social networking and communication among employees,” said Dr Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources, and Chairman of DEWA’s Sports Committee.

NAS Night Challenge has been an essential element of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament since its inception during the fifth edition in 2017. A total of 1,250 participants from 49 nationalities took part this year.
