DEWA provides to the POD customers and employees smart systems and support services that facilitate their access to various information and facilities within DEWA’s buildings, including:

  • Braille Voice Maps: Interactive maps with an audio notification to provide POD with the required information and directions, containing Braille writing and embossed letters along with audio instructions.
  • Audible guidance systems: a smart application that works according to the various smart devices to help the user to locate the intended location with ease by displaying a real image of the spaces using the Visual Reality technology, and it has a feature of speaking voice in various languages and easy to understand.
  • Hearing aids: The hearing loop provides a wireless magnetic signal that is captured by the hearing instrument worn by POD with hearing disability. The hearing loop consists of a microphone to capture the spoken word and an amplifier that processes the signal. The signal is then transmitted through the final piece. This is through the loop cable, which is a wire attached around a specific area, such as a conference room, service counter etc., to act as an antenna that sends the magnetic signal to the hearing aid.
