WETEX & Dubai Solar Show

DEWA organises WETEX & Dubai Solar Show annually as part of its efforts to support the vision of the wise leadership and its keenness to contribute to promote the sustainable development. Since its inception in 1999, the exhibition has witnessed significant growth and has become one of the most important specialised international exhibitions in the fields of water, energy, sustainability, green technologies, renewable and clean energy, as well as green buildings, electric vehicles, and other key sectors. The 2023 edition of the exhibition is especially significant as it coincides with the UAE's preparations to host COP28 by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at Dubai Expo City in 2023.

World Green Economy Summit

The World Green Economy Organization (WGEO), Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy have been organising the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) since 2014. WGES is a key global platform that aims to promote the transition towards a green and sustainable economy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and the Paris Agreement. WGES provides a platform that brings together prominent international decision-makers, experts and specialists to exchange experiences and best practices on successful sustainability strategies, systems and policies, in addition to discussing future requirements and trajectories, and promoting global climate action.

Middle East and North Africa Solar Conference

DEWA is organising the first Middle East and North Africa Solar Conference, the first scientific and technical conference of its kind in the region that specialises in photovoltaic systems. The first edition of the exhibition is especially significant as it coincides with the UAE's preparations to host COP28 by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at Dubai Expo City in 2023.

COP28

In 2023, the UAE hosts the COP28 by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). COP28 UAE will be a milestone moment when the world will take stock of its progress on the Paris Agreement. The first Global Stocktake (GST), will provide a comprehensive assessment of progress since adopting the Paris Agreement. This will help align efforts on climate action, including measures that need to be put in place to bridge the gaps in progress.
