What is Clearance Certificate

Request to issue or verify clearance certificate. The certificate is issued upon clearing all the outstanding bills related to the premise.

DEWA Customers can apply for the clearance certificate, if not received through email or clearance certificate expired.

Fees:

  • Free of charge, if applied through DEWA website/smart app.

  • AED 50, if applied through DEWA Happiness Centres.

* VAT will be charged as applicable.

Log in / Registration:

  • For DEWA customers, login is mandatory.

  • For non-DEWA customers, no need for login.

Estimated Delivery Duration

Online:

  • For DEWA customers, clearance certificate will be sent to customers through email, immediately upon settlement of final bill.

  • DEWA customers can apply for the clearance certificate, if not received through email or if their clearance certificate is expired.

  • For property sellers, clearance certificate will be sent to customers through email, immediately upon settlement of full outstanding dues of the property.

  • For non-DEWA customers, clearance certificate will be sent to the customers through email, within 3 working days of the request.

Customer Happiness Centres

  • Clearance certificate will be provided immediately, if outstanding dues if any, are settled.

Online Procedure

Step 1: Online Application Submission
Fill-in the online application form with the required information. Attach required documents and submit the application. On successful submission, a reference number will be provided which can be used for tracking the status of the application:

-Passport copy or Emirates ID for Individuals
-Trade License, for companies only
-Premise Number or Account Number.
-Final bill amount settled for Tenants only.
-Outstanding dues cleared for Landlord.

Step 2: Application Status Tracking and Notifications
You will receive SMS and e-mail notifications regarding the progress of the application. In addition to notifications, the status of the application can also be tracked online through eservice. Access tracking page and enter the application reference number to check the status of the application.

Step 3: Service Delivery
Once the application is approved, the clearance certificate will be sent through email.

Offline Procedure

Step 1: Submit Application
Submit application in writing with required documents(s) to DEWA Happiness Centre

-Passport copy or Emirates ID for Individuals
-Trade License for companies
-Premise Number or Account Number.
-Final bill amount settled for Tenant only.
-Outstanding dues cleared for Landlord.

Step 2: Collect Certificate
Present payment receipt and collect certificate
