Transfer of Electricity/Water (Move-to) Service

This service transfers electricity and water from one to another premises within Dubai as per customer’s needs.

Fees:

Fee for supply activation for new premises and fee for supply deactivation for existing premises to be paid.

Login / Registration:

  • Required for online requests.
  • Not required for requests made through Customer Happiness Centers or Customer Care Center

Estimated Delivery Duration:

Depends on dates selected by customers for Move out and Move in (Within 24 hours from the time provided) – subject to required Security Deposit payment /transfer.

Move to at Property Management Companies -RERA authorized centres

Step 1 : Submit:

Fill-in the online application form with your Property Management Company / RERA authorized typing centre by entering the below details:

  • Your new premises number.
  • Contract account number for your existing premises from which you are planning to Move out along with Move out date.

On successful submission, you will receive an SMS and Welcome Email with your DEWA account & premises details and link for online login. Security Deposit from your existing premises will be transferred to your new premises. In case of insufficient deposit for the new premises, you will be required to pay the difference of Security Deposit through any DEWA payment channel. Supply for your new premises will be activated on transfer / payment of Security Deposit and supply for your existing premises will be deactivated on your selected move out date.


Online Procedure

Step 1 : Submit:

Fill in the online application form by entering the below details:

  • Ejari number of your new premises and premises number.
  • Contract account number for your existing premises from which you are planning to Move out along with Move out date.
  • Settle the outstanding dues, if any, for your existing premises.

Security Deposit from your existing premise will be transferred to your new premises. In case of insufficient deposit for the new premise, you will be required to pay the difference of Security Deposit through any DEWA payment channel. Supply for your new premises will be activated on transfer / payment of Security Deposit and supply for your existing premises will be deactivated on your selected move out date.

On successful submission, a reference number will be provided which can be used for tracking the status of the application. If you are registered in our online services, you can apply for the Move-To by logging in with your user ID and password.

Step 2 : Notification:

SMS and Welcome Email with your DEWA account & premises details and link for online login will be sent.

Offline Procedure

Step 1 : Dues Settlement for existing premise:

Settle the outstanding dues, if any, for your existing premises before applying for the Move To.

Step 2 : Notify DEWA:

Notify DEWA for the Move To service.

Fill in the application form by entering the below details:

  • Ejari number of your new premises and premises number.
  • Contract account number for your existing premises from which you are planning to Move out along with Move out date.
  • On successful submission, a reference number will be provided which can be used for tracking the status of the application.

Step 3 : Security Deposit Transfer / Payment:

Security Deposit from your existing premise will be transferred to your new premises. In case of insufficient Security Deposit for the new premises, you will be required to pay the difference of Security Deposit through any DEWA payment channel. Supply for your new premises will be activated on transfer / payment of Security Deposit and supply for your existing premises will be deactivated on your selected move out date.
