Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was awarded the ISO 56002: 2019 in Innovation Management, becoming the first organisation in the world to receive this certificate. DEWA also received ISO 30401: 2018 certification in Knowledge Management Systems; becoming the first utility in the world to receive this certification. The new achievement consolidates DEWA’s excellence and global leadership across all its operations and services to its customers and employees

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, was delighted with DEWA receiving the two ISO certificates in innovation and knowledge management, which consolidates its position among the most distinguished and innovative organisations worldwide and reinforces its role as the one of the key supporter of innovation in Dubai and the UAE. He noted that the two certificates underline DEWA’s commitment to its vision to become a globally leading sustainable innovative corporation.

DEWA has 5 Knowledge Centres across a number of its branches. These centres depend on innovative and smart knowledge management systems. Employees can borrow and return book and periodicals using self-service kiosks. DEWA Smart Library allows staff to access digital content easily. The online catalogue allows employees to search for books that are available in DEWA knowledge centres.
