    هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي تحصد "الجائزة العالمية لحوكمة الشركات" من مؤسسة "كامبريدج آي إف إيه" في المملكة المتحدة

    تأكيداً على تميزها في مجال الحوكمة المؤسسية على المستوى العالمي، فازت هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي بالجائزة العالمية لحوكمة الشركات ضمن جوائز الحوكمة الرشيدة العالمية لعام 2024 التي تقدمها مؤسسة "كامبريدج آي إف إيه" في المملكة المتحدة. وفازت الهيئة بالجائزة بعد عملية مراجعة شاملة أجرتها "مؤسسة كامبريدج آي إف إيه" لضمان امتثال الهيئة لأعلى المعايير العالمية في مجال الحوكمة.

    تسلَّم معالي سعيد محمد الطاير، العضو المنتدب الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي، الجائزة في المقر الرئيسي للهيئة، بحضور المهندس وليد بن سلمان، النائب التنفيذي للرئيس لقطاع تطوير الأعمال والتميز في هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي، وعلي محمد المويجعي، نائب الرئيس للحوكمة والمطابقة، وفريق عمل إدارة الحوكمة المؤسسية في الهيئة.

    وأكد معالي سعيد محمد الطاير أن تكريم هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي بهذه الجائزة من "مؤسسة كامبريدج آي إف إيه" البريطانية يعكس تميز الهيئة في تطبيق أفضل الممارسات وتنفيذ البرامج والمشاريع المبتكرة التي تعزز نموذج الحوكمة في الهيئة الذي يستند إلى أربع ركائز أساسية: الثقة، والمساءلة، والشفافية، والممارسات العادلة.

    وقال معالي الطاير: "في إطار التزامنا رؤية وتوجيهات القيادة الرشيدة، نطّبق أعلى معايير الحوكمة الرشيدة في مختلف مجالات عملنا ضمن منظومة شاملة من العمل المؤسسي المتكامل تشمل جميع الأنشطة والعمليات. وتأتي هذه الجائزة تقديراً لجهود الهيئة والتزامنا بأعلى معايير التميز والحوكمة الرشيدة، وحرصنا الدائم على توظيف الممارسات المبتكرة التي من شأنها دفع عجلة النمو المستدام وتعزيز القيمة المقدمة لجميع المعنيين على المدى الطويل."

    من جانبه، قال المهندس وليد بن سلمان، النائب التنفيذي للرئيس لقطاع تطوير الأعمال والتميز في هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي: "تمثِّل الحوكمة الرشيدة جزءاً لا يتجزَّأ من عملية صنع القرار في الهيئة، ودعامة رئيسة أسهمت في تحقيق الهيئة نتائج تنافسية على المستوى العالمي. وتؤكد هذه الجوائز التزام الهيئة بأفضل الممارسات العالمية للارتقاء بخدماتها والوصول بها إلى أعلى مستويات الكفاءة والاعتمادية."

    يشار إلى أن إطار الحوكمة في هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي يتضمن العناصر الأساسية للحوكمة بما في ذلك الرقابة والإشراف لمجلس الإدارة، والهيكل التنظيمي الواضح، والصلاحيات، والاستراتيجية الموثقة، وتفويض السلطات المالية والإدارية على نحو سليم. ولدى الهيئة مجموعة من اللجان على مستوى الإدارة، إلى جانب سياسات شاملة تغطي جميع الوظائف، إضافة إلى ميثاق قواعد السلوك الوظيفي والأخلاقيات، ودليل الموظف في نشر عناصر الحوكمة الرشيدة داخل الهيئة. وتتبنى الهيئة سياسة حماية تتضمن ثلاثة خطوط دفاعية تكون فيها الإدارة والإشراف الخط الأول؛ والمخاطر والمطابقة والقانونية الخط الثاني؛ بينما يكون الخط الثالث فيها التدقيق الداخلي. علاوة على ذلك، أطلقت الهيئة برنامج سفراء الحوكمة والمطابقة الذي يعتمد على أفضل الكفاءات في إدارة الحوكمة والمطابقة، ويعمل هؤلاء السفراء على نشر ثقافة ومبادئ الحوكمة الرشيدة والمطابقة بين زملائهم.
