Under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is organising the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Marshal's Office of Poland's Wielkopolska Region will this year make its debut at WETEX as part of the country's pavilion, which is hosting six leading companies supporting the net-zero economy through a range of innovative solutions and future-oriented technologies designed for global markets.

“The exhibition strengthens the constructive co-operation between the UAE and Poland in priority areas and sectors, most notably renewable energy, agriculture and manufacturing. The annual presence of the Polish International Pavilion at the exhibition has become an essential milestone in strengthening bilateral collaboration, opening new horizons for joint initiatives and unlocking promising investment and trade opportunities that advance economic growth and sustainability in both countries,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX.

HE Grzegorz Gawin, Head of Mission at the Embassy of Poland in Abu Dhabi, said: “Poland presents itself at WETEX as a country with tremendous potential for the application of zero-emission technologies, as well as a provider of such solutions for export. Poland is among the European leaders in the dynamic implementation of clean technologies in the energy sector. I hope that WETEX will contribute to the promotion of Polish companies and technologies throughout the Gulf region”

Jacek Boguslawski, board member within the Marshal’s Office of Wielkopolska, said low and zero-emission technologies play a key role in combating climate change and pursuing sustainable development.

“The implementation of alternative energy sources not only brings environmental benefits but also provides an opportunity for innovation, the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of energy security. Wielkopolska is committed to the development of a low and zero-emission economy, including one based on hydrogen, by creating ecosystems for SMEs and scientists, as well as participating in energy transition programmes such as the Just Transition Fund for Eastern Wielkopolska. Our goal is to build a regional brand based on modern technologies by creating networks and participating in international industry events, increasing business opportunities in a dynamically developing market,” said Boguslawski.

Małgorzata Panek-Kasińska, CEO of MK Business Link, said GCC stakeholders have shown a growing interest in acquiring solutions from Poland over the years.

“As MK Business Link, the official operator of the Polish pavilion and a company connecting businesses between Poland and the GCC, we are proud to recommend the most innovative technologies from our market to regional partners. This year at WETEX, visitors to the Polish pavilion will discover solutions with global potential. We warmly invite companies and institutions to explore opportunities for co-operation,” said Panek-Kasińska.
