  • Project/Plot summary of total connected,MDBs/SMDBs schedules,typical Load distribution schedule for final distribution boards, load/Max.demand including number of KWh meters at main LV panel/MDB and SMDB levels.(PDF)
  • Single line diagram with proposed LV distribution and tariff metering (.dwf Format only)
  • Site setting layout and ground floor plan indicating location of substation, LV room, /KWh meter, MDB, etc...
  • Dimensional details of LV room/Electrical room/electrical cupboard etc... and arrangements of LV panels/SMDBs/DBs/KWh meters etc…(DWF)
  • Ground floor and/or typical floor plan indicating location of electrical rooms/MDBs/SMDBs/DBs/ KWh meters with installation details (DWF)
  • Wiring lay-outs (Lighting & Power) (DWF)
  • Details of the substation if applicable & Premise details sheet (Download Premise details template and upload with details - .xls/.doc Format only )

Key Information

This service presents different customer journeys based on specific scenarios:

  • For projects licenses under Dubai Municipality authority apply ONLY through Dubai Building Permit System “DBPS” of Dubai Municipality. DEWA will receive proactively your request through digital integration, and it will be processed seamlessly. No need to apply through DEWA channels.
    Upon site readiness, apply for Inspection through DEWA Website.


  • For the remaining scenarios in particular the projects licenses under other authorities, apply through DEWA channels.

Applying for the service

  • I log-in to Dubai Building Permit System “DBPS” of Dubai Municipality/DEWA Website, and I go to Getting Electricity Connections service under Builder Services.
  • I search and link the related building NOC and proceed.
  • I fill-in service application and attach/upload all required documents and submit the application. Upon submission, I receive a confirmation notification with application's reference number.

HV Substation Civil Inspection (if required)
  • Upon substation readiness, I initiate HV substation civil inspection request.
  • I receive notification with scheduled civil inspection date & time.
  • Once the HV substation civil inspection is done, I receive the inspection results on the same day (partially approved/fully approved/snag list).
    * If there are snags: I complete the snags/rectification works as per DEWA Civil Inspection Notice and resubmit inspection request and if needed I may request for technical discussion.

LV Inspection

  • Upon site readiness, I initiate LV inspection request and attach the relevant site photos and documents.
  • I receive notification with scheduled inspection date & time.
  • Once the LV inspection is done, I receive the inspection results on the spot (approved/snag list).
    * If there are snags: I complete the snags/rectification works as per DEWA Inspection Notice and resubmit inspection request.
