Statement of His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Commissioner General for the Health and Knowledge track at the Dubai Council, following the achievement of the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center and its success in developing stem cell therapy in the treatment of Coronavirus:

We congratulate the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and all the citizens and residents of the UAE, for this significant achievement by the team of doctors and researchers at Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center who have developed an innovative and promising treatment of Covid-19.

This achievement reflects the efficiency of the medical staff and their great efforts in combating the Coronavirus and the innovative way in which stem cells are used. This new treatment will contribute to strengthening UAE’s vision to become the world’s leading nation, and a global model in healthcare and treatment of diseases.  It will have a long-term positive impact that will benefit the UAE, the region and the world.
