DEWA emphasises importance of connecting with youths to empower them and refine their skills

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has praised the high standards and determination of DEWA’s youths in achieving success across various fields, commending their eagerness to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the UAE and Dubai to enhance their leadership skills.

Al Tayer made these remarks during a meeting with DEWA’s Youth Council to review their most prominent achievements in 2024, hear the views and aspirations of young employees, and learn more about their innovative solutions and requirements.

“We are eager to enhance intergenerational communication and provide opportunities for youths to engage in dialogue with decision-makers, as well as encourage them to present innovative ideas and develop future skills. With the support of Dubai’s wise leadership, our youths have embarked on an empowering journey, exemplifying responsibility, hard work and the boundless creative energy that fuels their aspirations. DEWA's youths have become a key partner in our efforts to achieve the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. We support DEWA’s Youth Council as it continues its successful role in empowering young people and investing in their potential to achieve sustainable development,” said Al Tayer.

Aysha Mohammad Alremeithi, DEWA’s Youth Council President, said: “The successes of DEWA’s youths are the result of the top management’s guidance and trust in the potential of young employees and their ability to turn challenges into opportunities. The Youth Council further seeks to achieve their aspirations and provide the necessary tools to refine their skills and qualify them as drivers of positive change.”
