A FEW SIMPLE STEPS TO STAY CONNECTED

THERE ARE MANY REASONS WHY YOUR ELECTRICITY AND WATER SUPPLY CAN BE DISRUPTED. BY TAKING SIMPLE STEPS YOU CAN ALWAYS STAY CONNECTED.

1.     Make sure your details are updated

Keep track of your personal details by updating them through the DEWA smart app or website in order to receive your Green Bill, Green sms, and payment related correspondence.

2.     Understand your bill

3.     Always pay your bill on time

4.     Ensure all your payments are settled

If you have more than one account, don’t forget to pay for all of them to ensure service continuity.

5.     Avoid overloading your supply

Don’t overload your existing supply. If you are going to build any extension/temporary tent for any occasion, make sure you first get your approval from DEWA to ensure your power supply isn’t disrupted.

6.     Always monitor your consumption

Do you think your consumption is unnecessarily high? Check your usage habits or for any water leaks.

8.     Your power supply is exclusively for you

The electricity supply to your premises is only meant for you. Do not sub-let or redirect your connection to other premises without prior approval from DEWA.

9.     To ensure safety and uninterrupted power supply

Ensure you fix damaged meter windows, improper earthing connections or exposed wires (with the help of certified electrician / technician). Also make sure to close all electrical cabinets and seal all spare and unused conduits.

  • Check for exposed electrical wires and ducts and secure them by using all weather proof sockets and fixtures
  • Check all the connections are properly earthed
