Pursuant to its strategy to support the social service and seeks to consolidate the national identity, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has organized an exhibition under the banner of Mawaheb featuring products of talented personnel of DEWA ,including handicraft and traditional designs, photography, painting, poetry, etc., as each participant of the employees will display his products determining his selling price, where they will be selling to the public, including DEWA staff ,customers and the public in general. The exhibition, which lasts for three days, was inaugurated by HE/ Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer – MD&CEO –DEWA in the presence of a number of senior officials of DEWA some employees. During his visit to the exhibition, HE/stated that, the Public Administration supports such a positive approach which contributes in the development and consolidation of mutual relations between DEWA and its staff from one side and between the employee and the surrounding community from the other side. He stressed the significance of supporting the social service and placing it as a top priority on DEWA’s plans and to work hard to consolidate the national identity by all available means in a way that contributes in realizing the aspirations of our prudent government towards the establishment and validation of all the activities that contribute to the preservation of our heritage and connecting the present generations with the previous generations, so that our walk to future will be supported by inherent civilized heritage originating from the essence of our Islamic Arab national identity, at the same time , taking whatever is useful from the modern innovations, so that we remain in the forefront , same as the first pioneers. After his visit around the exhibition, HE/ MD&CEO praised the exhibits and activities that accompany the exhibition, which reflect the genuineness of our heritage of which we are proud, and take it as a board spring towards modernity that preserves our principles and values. MD&CEO then thanked all of personnel in charge of the exhibition ,wishing them success and rightness. For his part, Dr Yousuf Ibrahim Al Akraf – VP-Human Resources – has pointed out the importance of such activity in supporting the human relations between staff and the community and establishing the principles of solidarity, knowing that , a percentage of the value of the product’s sales will be donated to charity. Dr. Al Akraf mentioned the attraction of participants from Rashid Pediatrics Therapy Centre and the Dubai Autism Center , pointing out that, DEWA , through its role in the society , puts into account the various segments of society ,particularly those of special needs who are been given all care and attention and an occasion can hardly pass without inviting them to participate or visiting them at their premises, considering them as an active part of the society and it is keen to see them interacting with their society and carrying out the role anticipated from them. Fatima Dimas the Senior Manager of Employees Relations - the organizer of the exhibition in DEWA , explained that, the idea of the exhibition was a proposal extended by one of DEWA staff through Tawaul Program for proposals and the idea was developed to include the participation of Rashid Pediatric Therapy Center and the Dubai Autism Centre , in this activity which runs over three days. Demas mentioned that the timing of the exhibition is from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be concluded on next Tuesday.
