HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), today received a delegation from Abdul Latif Jameel Group (ALJ). The delegation included Reef Abu Risha, Vice Chairman, and Roberto de Diego Arozamena, CEO of the Power Division. Al Tayer welcomed the delegation as ALJ works in renewable energy and he presented DEWA’s strategy to his guests, which has been the foundation for its development as a leading electricity and water utility. The discussion focused on solar energy projects, investment opportunities and encouraging the private sector to invest in strategic projects and independent public-private partnerships in the electricity sector. It also aimed to create a business framework that strengthens competitiveness and cutting-edge technologies to fulfill future needs, while preserving natural resources and the environment. The delegation thanked Al Tayer for providing a comprehensive overview of the various facets of DEWA’s operations and projects.
