HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed Adeeb and Dana Alblooshi at DEWA’s head office. They dedicated to Al Tayer their latest award as a token of thanks for supporting them and other young talented Emiratis.
Adeeb Alblooshi, received the ‘Person of the Generation 2018’ award, while his equally gifted sister, Dana Alblooshi, was named ‘Arab Child Ambassador for 2018’ by the Arab Achievers and Arab Group for Training and Consultancy in Egypt. Honouring the two siblings with these awards showed their outstanding scientific achievements in science, their perseverance, and being positive role models for the next Arab generation. Their father, Sulaiman Mohammed Alblooshi, was awarded the title of Professor for his efforts in bringing up his child prodigies. Alblooshi’s educational approach contributed to Adeeb’s and Dana’s global achievements. He was also granted the title of Goodwill Ambassador in community development at a ceremony attended by diplomats and prominent Arab figures.
Al Tayer expressed his pride in the achievements of both children, and in their contribution to strengthening of the UAE’s position internationally, emphasising that the wise leadership believes in the creative and innovative capabilities of young Emiratis. He reiterated that the leadership is keen to provide the motivating environment needed to nurture a generation capable of shaping the future and innovating its technologies, and contributing to the advancement of the nation and its development in all areas. This supports ambitious national strategies and plans, including the UAE Centennial 2071, which is a long-term government strategy to prepare the UAE and young Emiratis for the future.
Adeeb, Dana, and their father expressed their appreciation to DEWA for its support, creativity and innovation. They thanked Al Tayer for motivating creative Emiratis and encouraging them when they visited him last July.
