In its efforts to strengthen the strategic cooperation with the strategic partners, DEWA opened an office for General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –Dubai, in the Headquarters of DEWA at East of Zabeel, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –Dubai, yesterday. The Agreement provides for opening of an office for the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –Dubai, at the main office of DEWA to complete and renewal of the formalities for entry and residence permits for DEWA staff and customers. H.E Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer, MD and CEO DEWA stated This agreement comes under the Authority's policy to achieve Government excellence in performance and services to maintain the best interest of the Emirate of Dubai in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in respect of the significance of collaboration of the efforts intergrated between the various Authorities, departments, companies and organizations of the national business sector. H.E Mr. Al Tayer praised the levels of services provided by General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –Dubai, considering the efforts are directed to enhance the services provided in all levels to support the business in Dubai and to create an inspiring environment in Dubai. H.E confirmed that DEWA will provide the necessary support for this office and all the required facilities to complete its job at the best standards, knowing that, this is only a step that will be followed by a package of services that DEWA staff and customers need. His Excellency Major General Mohammad Al Marri, Director General Department of Foreign Affairs praised the strategic cooperation and collaboration with the various departments, implementing of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in respect of the significance of collaboration of the efforts integrated between various departments to provide the public high quality services. Furthermore, he praised His Highness Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Interior for his continuous support to the DNRD. H.E Al Marri stated that main goal of opening an office for the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is to provide the public their services and to save them their time and efforts during their working hours which start at 7:30 AM till 8:00 PM. He confirmed that the external offices which have reached so far 23 offices play a major role providing the public (UAE Nationals and Residents) in Dubai a high quality of services that meets the international standards of the UAE. His Excellency Major General Mohammad Al Marri added, we succeeded –through out our offices which are located all over the country- in meeting up all the public inquiries. H.E appreciated the great efforts of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to expedite in opening the office at its Head Quarter which will serve the Authority's customers, and our next step will witness a wide cooperation among the authority in all areas to serve both parties' future plans' he added. Lieutenant Colonel Kalifa Matar Balgobe'e, Assistant Manager – External Services Offices, stressed The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs have gotten its approach from the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which seek at simplifying the procedures and delivering the best developed services to the public and customers. He added by that, we will be able to face all the rapid challenges which have resulted from the quick changes that our world and country are facing in all levels. He added The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs is attempting at continuously communication with all its strategic partners and therefore, nowadays, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs built around 23 external offices to serve the biggest amount of customers in Dubai under the slogan of People’s Satisfaction is an achievable wish. Dr. Yousuf Al Akraf –VP Human Resources, stated Inauguration of this office in DEWA is a continuation of its approach to provide the excellent services for its human resources and to provide all means and facilities to ensure the optimum results on both career and personal aspects., as it will be easy for DEWA staff to benefit from all services related to entry and residency permits extended by the New Office. Dr. Al Akraf mentioned that This Agreement comes within the frame of reinforcing the relations between DEWA and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –Dubai and to coordinate the mutual efforts to build up the progress and development walk in the Emirate. Dr. Al Akraf added Signing this agreement is a historic step in the series of steps and strategies adopted by DEWA and included in its strategic plans to serve its goals and the interest of its staff, aiming to achieve the highest possible levels of satisfaction to DEWA customers and staff, continuing to provide more services to its human resources which is DEWA True Wealth that DEWA can not do without. Ms. Mariam Al Mutaiwei - Senior Manager-Personnel Management stated: “The office will provide many services to the Staff and to the Public, including work visas, residences, transfer of sponsorship, cancellation and other services, this office represents another share of DEWA’s ceaseless efforts to extend the best services to its staff and customers, in order to save their time, efforts and to facilitate the process of their applications Ms. Mariam added : In the first stage, two separate offices will be provided in the DEWA Headquarter to the personnel of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –Dubai , the two offices will be near the main gate of DEWA ,in the first floor , and these offices will provide the integrated services to DEWA staff and customers , including application typing and Zajil , knowing that , representatives will be assigned from DEWA to facilitate and complete the staff applications. Ms. Sameera Hussain Shaban – Manager –Passport and Residency Section stated : The idea of establishing this office , was an application of the directives of the Top Management in DEWA , which permanently requests provision of more excellent services to its staff and customers, a matter that will be positively reflected on the levels of staff and customers satisfaction in DEWA and would raise the quality of work environment, therefore we cooperated with the brothers in the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –Dubai to open this office, concluding her statement by congratulating the Top Management and the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –Dubai , for this step that will serve the Public Interest .
