As part of its strategy aiming at maintaining creative talents In a ceremony held at its headquarters in Garhood, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) honored 21 of its distinguished employees during the 2nd quarter of 2010 in recognition of their efforts. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer MD & CEO of DEWA as well as EVPs. This event comes as part of a series of initiatives through which DEWA aims at developing and encouraging its employees to keep on exerting great efforts to render the best they can and contribute to promoting and enhancing DEWA’s image both locally and internationally, along with elevating the services delivered to customers. H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer MD & CEO of DEWA congratulated the distinguished employees for their success and contributions to DEWA stating that this honor comes in line with DEWA’s policy and strategic plan which emphasizes on consolidating the culture of government excellence by honoring distinguished employees who carry out their work honestly and sincerely. H.E. shed the light on the fact that the Management appreciates employees’ efforts hoping that they will continue to elevate DEWA’s status and achieve excellence in all fields and at all levels. “Honoring distinguished employees is an on-going process throughout the year, and comes within the framework of the efforts aiming at enriching DEWA’s staff. Also, this is part of DEWA’s strategy aiming to sustain employees’ creativity, development and distinction. DEWA spares no effort to develop its services so as to support Dubai’s sustainable development and world position and rendering it a preferred world hub for finance, business and tourism” Al Tayer added. H.E. Al Tayer urged distinguished employees along with all DEWA’s staff to continue their relentless efforts to maintain excellence, calling on them to promote excellence. Also, H.E. emphasized that DEWA is strictly committed to providing its staff with all they need to continue on achieving success and excellence. On his part, Dr Yousef Al Akraf, VP – HR, called on distinguished employees along with all DEWA’s staff to double their efforts to enhance pioneering and creativity, as well as elevating the corporate performance at the level of Dubai in particular and the UAE as a whole. Dr. Al Akraf stressed the fact that DEWA spares no effort to provide its staff with all the needs which can motivate them to work and realize much more success. Dr. Al Akraf stated that excellence is one of factors of success for any institution. Therefore, DEWA is keen on paving the way for its employees to achieve success and excellence. Besides, he urged all DEWA’s staff to take the initiative and develop themselves in order to accomplish top levels of excellence, pioneering and success throughout their career at DEWA. These Awards included money rewards along with plaques, coupons for valuable prizes and certificates of recognition.
