His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer MD &CEO of DEWA praised the noble and kind initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, aiming to relieve UAE nationals of burdens of living, and to provide them with proper and stable life. Commenting on His Highness’s initiatives, His Excellency Saeed Al Tayer said that His Highness’s noble and kind deeds are countless. Examples of them are: - His Highness’s orders to connect water to the docks of Al Shareea, Al Hail, Jeemah, Leem, and Suhaila , which nourish Al Aflag at Hatta which irrigate the heritage farms there. - In line with the directives of His Highness, aiming to relieve the UAE nationals of burdens of living, DEWA will contribute the maximum amount of Dhs. 25,000/- for the cost of new electricity connections to the private houses of the UAE low-income nationals for the Emirate of Dubai. - His Highness’s orders to increase the free-of-charge slab of UAE nationals’ consumption from 10,000 Gallon/month to 20,000 gallon/month for their private houses and farms, and to exempt UAE nationals who receive social subsidies from the Ministry of Social Affairs from electricity consumption at the maximum limit of 6000 kilowatt/month. - The government contributes hundreds of millions of Dirhams to support the UAE nationals’ consumption of electricity and water so as to relieve the UAE nationals of burdens of living. His Excellency pointed out that such initiatives come part of His Highness’s relentless interest and pursuit to provide UAE nationals with their needs, as well as His Highness’s continuous follow-up to nationals’ living conditions. “DEWA has put all His Highness’s directives and orders into immediate effect in terms of all the above-mentioned noble and kind deeds,” His Excellency further added. His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer concluded: “We call for all consumers to conserve water and electricity consumption, to protect resources against waste and loss, and to protect the environment against pollution so as to serve the UAE march of sustainable development.”
