DEWA honors 15 distinguished employees for the fourth quarter 2011

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has honored 15 distinguished employees, who received excellence awards during a ceremony held at its headquarters to recognize employee achievements during the fourth quarter of 2011. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, honored the employees. Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, EVP-Business Support, EVPs, VPs and a number of DEWA’s top officials and employees also attended the ceremony. This recognition is part of a series of initiatives in which DEWA develops and encourages its employees to maintain their relentless efforts to ensure a motivating workplace and optimize services delivered to its employees. “This recognition falls in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to recognize distinguished employees, follow up on their achievements, recognize and encourage them to pursue their genuine efforts. Winners of DEWA’s excellence awards for individuals are: • Matar Suhail Al Mehairi, Category of Distinguished DEWA Employee • Fatima Saeed Al Suboosi category of Administration • Habib Ibrahim Shamsuzzoha category of Specialized Fields • Ahmad Mustafa Shaban won first place and Aasef Iqbal came second in the category of Technical Engineering • Adel Elsayed Mohd. E. Elfewi won first place and Navin Kumar Laxman came second in the category of Field Services • Badriya Ibrahim Hassan Raisi came first and Basharat Akhter came second in the category of distinguished female employee • Rab Nawaz Bhurt and Changampalli M P Saidalavi - category of unknown soldier • Amal Ali Saif Hammoudi – category of new recruitment • Maktoum Nasser – category of UAE Nationals • Sahil Musammil – category of secretary • Hanadi Bilal Mohd Al Shehi – category of creativity. The receipients received cash prizes, crystal souvenir plaques, valuable gift coupons and certificates of recognition. The program of excellence and recognition awards was initiated in 1999 as a reward to employees for their relentless efforts and job loyalty and also in compliance with DEWA’s objectives.
