GM of Qatar’s QEWC visits DEWA

HE Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), today received HE Fahad Al Mohannadi, General Manager of the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (QEWC), who visited DEWA to discuss the bilateral relations and share best experiences and practices with DEWA, which has achieved a global reputation for applying the best standards in the field of corporate excellence and quality. The meeting was attended by a number of senior staff from DEWA including, Hussein Lootah, EVP of Transmission Power, Dr. Yousuf Al Akraf, EVP of Business Support, Rashid Humaidan, EVP of Distribution Power, Yousef Jebril, EVP of Power and Water Planning and Waleed Salman, EVP of Strategy and Business Development. His Excellency welcomed Al Mohannadi, stressing the importance of maintaining close ties and cooperation by sharing experiences between DEWA and QEWC. Al Tayer also praised the existing strong ties between the two utilities and the ongoing exchange of information to date. Al Tayer affirmed DEWA’s intention to maintain this productive relationship with QEWC on all levels and the importance of continuing the exchange of best practices and expertise for the benefit of both parties. He also noted that DEWA has implemented a strategy plan designed to promote and support the vision of the Government of Dubai by applying best practices and sharing expertise, experience and insights on state-of-the-art systems, especially in the field of customer care, and is focused on raising the level of satisfaction of all its stakeholders, by enhancing the delivery of its excellent services. At the end of the visit, the General Manager of Qatar Electricity and Water praised DEWA’s achievements and plans, hoping to continue cooperation and exchange of information with DEWA and QEWC.
