As part of USAID initiative to promote knowledge-sharing DEWA highlights competencies in customer management and service Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) hosted a delegation of 13 professionals representing Pakistan’s energy distribution companies as part of an initiative by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to strengthen knowledge sharing in customer-management and service. The Pakistani delegation is in the UAE as part of a regional tour to evaluate the operations of energy-distribution companies, understand modern customer-management practices and potentially implement them in their home-country. USAID selected DEWA as one of the organisations for the tour as a testament to DEWA’s credentials in following global best practices in customer service and relationship management. DEWA’s senior managers welcomed the Pakistani delegation and provided them with a comprehensive overview of the various facets of its operations. They explained the international best practices that DEWA has implemented, and how the integrated approach to customer service management has helped DEWA to sustain its service credentials. “Having successfully adopted the highest standards in customer service and operations, DEWA has been recognised as a sustainable world-class utility. In line with international benchmarks, DEWA has been ranked as one of the best utilities worldwide. Being selected by USAID as one of the organisations to host the tour is a clear testament to DEWA’s commitment to uphold standards of unparalleled customer service,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. “We are privileged to share our experiences in customer management to Pakistan’s energy distribution companies, which we believe will provide great value-addition in improving their overall operational efficiencies. DEWA will continue to foster world-class service standards, equivalent to our global counterparts,” added Al Tayer. “One of the pillars of DEWA’s growth is our continued commitment to strengthen partnerships. In line with our strategic goals, as well as the goals of Dubai, we shall build on such collaboration to enhance business and operations by offering the highest international standards, driven under the visionary guidance our leadership,” said Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development.
