Al Tayer receives Sudanese Under Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) received in his office, Musa Omer AbuElgasim, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity of Sudan. Al Tayer welcomed AbuElgasim, and their meeting covered best practices applied by DEWA in Electricity and Water and how this can benefit Sudan, primarily on network losses and also liaising with concerned departments in the energy sector for their mutual benefit. AbuElgasim explained that the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity in Sudan is responsible of developing policies and general rules related to the generation of electrical energy from various sources, transmission and distribution, approving plans and public programmes for electricity and translating them into projects and following up their implementation. Both parties discussed ways of collaboration. AbuElgasim thanked Al Tayer for the warm welcome and productive meeting.
