DEWA honours 38 distinguished employees

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) honoured 38 distinguished employees for their outstanding performance during the fourth quarter of 2012, at an awards ceremony held at DEWA Headquarters. The associates were recognised for their efforts and commitment to improving DEWA’s overall operations and enhancing its role in promoting sustainable development in Dubai. “The awards ceremony is a part of our rewarding programme aimed at honouring distinguished employees who can further contribute to establishing DEWA as a model organisation that can be emulated by local and international companies in various fields including administration, operations, and services,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA. “In recognition of the dedicated work and loyalty of our employees, DEWA hosts a series of reward schemes and appreciation ceremonies throughout the year, ensuring that employees are constantly reminded of how much their successes help the organisation,” said Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, EVP of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, accompanied by Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, honoured the distinguished employees, in the presence of EVPs, VPs, senior officials, and employees from DEWA. Al Tayer honoured the ‘Green Wave Project’ team in the ‘Best Administrative Experiment’ category. The team members are: Mohammed Salem Almana, Ahmed Mohammed Hassan, Salayem Mohammed Belsuwaida, Maryam Rashed Albasti, Saeedullah Mian Muhammad Saeed, Mohammed Saleh Madhad Alhameeri, Sarfraz Khan, Mohammed Asif Malik, Sunil Mirchandani, Fatma Abdulla Mohd Bin Humooda, Dost Mohammed Abdul Warid, and Mohammed Arshad Mehraj Din. From Customer Service Divisio: Marwan Salem Ali Bin Haider, Samir Michael Labbaci, Mutaira Saeed Al Humairi, Muna Jassim Ali Abdulla Rajab, Murali Krishna Nukala, Jagadeesh Chinthapalli, Suneer Mohammed, and Mohammed Shahebaz Madani. Information Technology Division included: Amal Yahya Koshak, Amal Jafar Hussain Alghanim, Smile Andrews Reuben Andrews, and Nisha Joseph from General Management Division. The team members from three divisions worked together on the green bill project and sent the green bill to 235,000 customers on a monthly basis. Al Tayer urged DEWA employees to assist each other, pointing out that collaboration is the way to victory, and teamwork is the most important factor for the Authority’s success at various levels. Al Tayer also honoured the distinguished team from Transmission Power Division in the ‘Technical Project’ category. The team members included: Rizwan Abbas Syed Abbas Rizvi, Balakrishnan Jayasingh, Nisar Ahmed Jamali, and Mahmoud Sayed Abu Elkasem. The Water Transmission Planning from Power and Water Planning Division was honoured in the ‘Distinguished Department’ category.
