Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received a delegation from Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL), at its Sustainable Building in Al Quoz, as part of DEWA’s ongoing stakeholder-outreach and visits. The largest government sustainable building in the world, DEWA’s Sustainable Building in Al Quoz has received a platinum rating for green buildings. During the visit, DEWA provided the team from DUBAL with an overview of the building’s operations, functions, and customer services. The delegation included: Mohammed E Nagib, EVP of Operations, Tayeb Awadhi, VP of Power and Desalination, Abdulnasser Kalban, GM of Power and Desalination Maintenance, Nedhal Al Rahma, Senior Support Manager of P& D Operations, Sami W Bustami, Senior Manager of Power Operations, Dr Ismat Murshed, Plant Performance Optimisation Manager, and Girish Menon, Area Engineer of Power and Desalination. They were given a detailed tour of DEWA’s customer service centre, which provides a variety of services: its customer call centre, engineering and control centre, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) centre for water systems, recycling stations used to recycle waste water within the building, and the library, gym, and nursery. Representatives from DEWA included: Amal Al Suwaidi, VP of Customer Relations; Saleh Al Marzouqi, Customer Service Centre Manager, Omar Sahoh, Customer Care Centre Manager, Mohammed Al Shamsi, VP- Civil P& E, Bader Al Saadi, Projects Manager; Humaid Shamis, Senior Engineer of Administration, Jamal Kharbash, Senior Manager of Administration and Awadh Al Falasi, Manager of Security, who demonstrated a video of the building and its facilities, as well as a presentation on its specifications, which was followed said Mohammed Al Shamsi, VP- Civil P& E, DEWA. The DUBAL team thanked DEWA for the information and tour of the Sustainable Building, and expressed their appreciation, support, and contribution towards driving cooperation with each other.
