HE Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received a delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain Electricity and Water Authority (EWA). The delegation included Dr. Hiba Nayef Harara, Director of Electricity Transmission and Waleed Abdulla Mohammed, Director of Industrial Security at EWA. The Bahraini delegation learned about DEWA’s successful experiences and its vision to be a sustainable world-class utility during its visit to the Sustainable Building in Al Quoz and M-Station, including DEWA’s integrated strategy aimed to sharing experiences and best practices with other organisations and regional and global institutions to enhance their operational efficiency. The meeting was attended by Tayeib Taher Al Khaja, Vice President of Compound 2 (K, L, M), Kenneth McQueen, Director of Enterprise Risk Management, Abdul Rahman Yunus, Senior Manager of Planning & Studies Transport Operations, Ahmad Salahi, Senior Manager of Maintenance (Transport Equipment), Jaber Al Khouri, Senior Manager of Operations (Compound 2), Mariam Al Thani, Senior Manager of Partnership, Majed Abdullah, Senior Manager of Administration and Fire & Security, and Badr Al-Saadi, Senior Manager of Projects and Maintenance from DEWA. As part of the delegation’s agenda, DEWA shared a series of presentations that reviewed the systems in the areas of Risk Management Systems, Entry Permit Systems, and the security of Electricity Transmission Stations, to achieve the highest level of efficiency benchmarked against the standards set by major global organisations.
