Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is participating in the Dubai Government Achievements Exhibition 2014, whose theme is, ‘Local Government, Global Achievements.’ This is part of its strategy to share its experience and knowledge and promote joint-collaboration with all government organisations to achieve the vision of Dubai as directed by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The Dubai Government Excellence Program, which is a part of the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai, has organised the exhibition, which runs from 8 – 10 April 2014, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. At the event, DEWA presented its strategy to raise its expertise and achievements in the UAE, in line with the Vision 2021 to establish the UAE as one of the best nations in the world by 2021. HE Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy for the UAE, visited the DEWA stand, attended by staff from DEWA including Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources, Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and Khawla Al Mehairi, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications. DEWA exhibited its smart initiatives and smart applications and services that are intended to increase efficiency and also had on display models of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the Warsan Complex, the Al Qusais Control Centre and the Sustainable Building in Al Quoz. “To achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to enhance a culture of excellence in the government sector, DEWA is exhibiting at this event its achievements and future projects to present its integrated services for expatriates and UAE Nationals in the government of Dubai. DEWA provides the best smart services for its customers, at the highest levels of availability, efficiency and reliability. This is to peace of mind and the convenience of our customers to maintain its position as a global hub for trade, finance, tourism and green economy,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. “We participate in this important exhibition to further encourage our employees to increase productivity and enhance their competitiveness. Our goal is to share best practices in excellence, innovation and quality, highlighting the approach of the Government of Dubai,” said Al Akraf. The exhibition was attended by department heads and senior managers of DEWA as well as representatives from various government departments in Dubai.
