DEWA honours 14 distinguished employees

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) honoured 14 distinguished employees in the Individual Category and Best Team categories, in line with its commitment to recognise employees for their dedicated service. The event was attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, and Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, EVP of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA’s headquarters. “DEWA is focused on developing its staff and in building their skills to further drive our development. We are committed to nurturing their competencies and recognising their good work. Our staff members are the cornerstone of sustainable development, and by recognising them we are encouraging them to perform better and in turn strengthen the standard of service we offer,” said Al Tayer. “Our employee recognition programme enhances the loyalty and satisfaction of our staff. It therefore plays an important role in strengthening our work environment and in promoting a positive spirit of competition between employees among DEWA different divisions, thus contributing to our all-round excellence,” added Al Tayer. “We put together a plan for honouring our staff who have contributed ideas, and support and develop the work environment. They play an important role development in our business environment and support its ongoing development. We develop the spirit of positive competition among employees through programmes and initiatives designed to develop their skills and talents and stimulate creativity in the workplace,” said Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, EVP of Business Support and Human Resources. Al Tayer and senior officials of DEWA presented awards the distinguished employees. They include: Abdulla Mushsen Al Ibrahim (Distinguished Employee of DEWA), Abdul Razak K M Cherud (Administration & Finance), Abdul Rasheed Pareed (first place) and Dr. Heena Sunil Bulchandani (second place) in specialised fields, Feras Ibrahim Al Mohammad (Technical/Engineering), Selvakumar Gurusamy (Field Services), Khawla Jasim Humaid Al Ali (Distinguished Employee – Female), Md Khalilur Rahman (Supervisory Jobs), Ahmad Nawaz Khan (first place) and Kolakkate Abdul Nazer (second place) as Unknown Soldier, Rashed Ahmed Alraeesi (first place) and Aysha Abdulla Suhool (second place) for New Recruit, Salman Salim Marzouq (Distinguished Employee - UAE national) and Sahim Abdur Rashid Haddadi (Secretary).
