DEWA’s Noor and Hayat mascots entertain and educate children at Modhesh World

Noor and Hayat, DEWA’s two lovable mascots, are participating in Modhesh World as part of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s (DEWA’s) efforts to promote environmental awareness and the rational use of resources among all segments of society. In a fun-filled atmosphere, the two characters interact with children in line with DEWA's strategy to engage with the community and educate children about the importance of the sensible use of electricity and water in their daily lives. Noor and Hayat, who represent electricity and water respectively, are available at hall number 8 at Dubai World Trade Centre until 8 September 2014. Noor and Hayat engage in a number of educational and entertaining activities with children to stress the importance of preserving natural resources and keeping the environment. “The participation of DEWA’s mascots in Modhesh World is part of our social responsibility to raise awareness about the need to rationalise electricity and water use and encourage all members of society to adopt more sustainable practices that preserve our natural resources and reduce waste,” said Amal Koshak, Senior Manager of Marketing Communications at DEWA. DEWA’s pavilion at Modhesh World runs a programme based on its ‘Little Stars’ model and provides an enjoyable environment for children. There are also sports, arts, and cultural activities for all members of the family. Visitors can interact with Noor and Hayat during Modhesh World in Hall 8 at Dubai World Trade Centre. During the holy month of Ramadan, Modhesh World will be open all days from 12pm to midnight, except Fridays from 3pm to midnight. During Eid, Modhesh will be open from 10am to midnight. After Ramadan, it will open from 10am to 10pm from Saturday to Wednesday, from 10am to midnight on Thursdays and from 3pm to midnight on Fridays.
