DEWA has concluded its summer training programme, which was attended by 157 students from UAE schools and universities. The training programme took place from 22 June to 21 August 2014, and included a number of field training programmes where students gained insight into DEWA’s administrative, operational and service fields. “As part of DEWA’s corporate social responsibility and our desire to promote National Identity and develop the capabilities of Emirati youth, DEWA designs and develops summer training programmes school and university students according to their study fields and scientific directions. Students are distributed to DEWA’s departments related to their fields of study to enable them to understand practical life and how to work as a team, in addition to instilling the spirit of serving the country in order to prepare them to be active members in the development and to serve society in the future,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. “DEWA is keen to provide practical training opportunities for school and university students to hone their talents and skills while teaching them about work mechanisms at DEWA. This is essential to identify the scientific and professional orientation of the students in the future. DEWA provides many scholarships for Emirati students to complete their studies inside and outside of the UAE.
