Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is sponsoring the 4th Umrah for Khorfakkan Club for People with Disabilities. Sponsoring the Umrah is part of DEWA’s strategy to support charitable and humanitarian work. A number of people with motor, hearing, sight, and mental disabilities performed Umrah. “At DEWA, we work closely with social organisations that look after people with special needs across all emirates to extend our support and helping hand. We are pleased to work with Khorfakkan Club for People with Disabilities to give its members the opportunity to perform this sacred ritual and instil within them the teachings and values of Islam. These efforts are part of DEWA’s corporate social responsibility,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. “DEWA’s support for the Umrah initiative underlines our belief in the importance of collaboration with organisations across the UAE to support and enhance social services in its different forms to enhance the lives of individuals and families, develop society, achieve social cohesion, and highlight national identity,” Al Tayer added.
