MD & CEO of DEWA receives Bechtel Corporation delegation

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) received in his office, a delegation from Bechtel Corporation. The delegation included David Welch, Regional President for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and Shaun Kenny, President of Mining and Metals at Bechtel. This is one of a series of visits by international energy organisations to DEWA. Al Tayer welcomed the visitors, emphasising the importance of enhancing cooperation with DEWA’s strategic partners in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He outlined DEWA’s efforts to enhance closer ties with its partners, and support projects and initiatives that help in the sustainable development of partnerships. These efforts adhere to the Dubai Strategic Plan, and help achieve the highest levels of excellence in the services DEWA provides to its partners and customers. During the meeting, Al Tayer briefed the delegation on DEWA’s current and future projects, its expansion plans in the Emirate, as well as its infrastructure projects. The delegation highlighted the services Bechtel provides in the construction, infrastructure, and project management fields, and praised DEWA’s achievements that establish Dubai’s leading status in the region, and promotes its role as a global hub for trade, finance, tourism, and green economy, in addition to providing a reliable infrastructure capable of meeting developmental requirements. At the end of the meeting, the delegation thanked Al Tayer for the warm welcome, and for the opportunity to discuss possible mutually beneficial cooperation with Bechtel.
