DEWA welcomes high-level delegation from Philips Lighting

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received at his office, a delegation from Philips Lighting, headed by Eric Rondolat, CEO of Philips Lighting. The delegation included Murali Sivaraman, President of Growth Markets, Bill Bien, Head of Strategy at Philips Lighting, Paolo Cervini, President of Philips Lighting Middle East and Turkey, Rami Hajjar, General Manager of Philips Lighting Middle East (except KSA), Olav Scholte, Senior Segment Manager of Philips Lighting Middle East. The meeting was attended by Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources, Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at DEWA, Stephane Le Gentil, CEO of Etihad ESCO, and Ahmed Abdullah, Senior Manager of External Communications. Al Tayer welcomed the delegation. He briefed them on DEWA’s work, activities, progress, and service development. He emphasised DEWA’s commitment to strengthen cooperation and coordination with energy companies for mutual benefit. The delegation talked about the work of Philips Lighting, which provides advanced solutions for energy savings in all sectors. These include roads, offices, industrial enterprises, hotels and homes. Philips has played a key role in promoting sustainability through innovation in lighting technology. Phillips is a leader in shaping the future through new applications and technologies for lighting, such as LED technology. The delegation expressed interest in participating in DEWA’s projects and the importance of strengthening joint cooperation in lighting. They thanked Al Tayer for the reception and the opportunity to learn about DEWA’s activities and projects.
