The Emirates Talent Association is inviting UAE National students of 12 to 18 years of age, to apply for the international IQ Test, to measure their intelligence quotient according to global standards. The Emirates Talent Association is open for testing, registration and applications. It can be reached by phone on 04 342 2033 during official working hours from Sunday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm, or by filling in the application available on its website: www.aetalent.org. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), as a national organisation, is sponsoring the tests. These tests help students determining their approximate intelligence level and take advantage of the test results to develop mental abilities and improve their education. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Chairman of the Association, commended the support of DEWA for the Innovation Award for UAE Nationals. “Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is known for supporting such initiatives and this philanthropic gesture to help find the elite future scientists from the UAE amongst the youth of today, to serve our country and achieve the ambitions of our wise leadership and our Sheikhs,” he said. Tamim thanked DEWA for sponsoring talented UAE Nationals and wished DEWA continues to do so as per its excellent corporate strategy. “Our sponsorship supports the announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for 2015 as the Year of Innovation to encourage innovation and creativity. These will be standard and official practices to develop government services, face challenges, and contribute to enhancing the efficiency and performance of government work. We adopt innovation across all our operations to support organisational excellence, raise the efficiency and performance of work and improve government services to make Dubai and the UAE the most innovative in the world,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. Al Tayer commended the efforts of Emirates Talent Association led by HE Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Chairman of the Association, in identifying innovative young people who have the capabilities and skills in different scientific fields. “Sponsoring this award is part of DEWA’s commitment to supporting outstanding Emirati students and training them to go through the collective thinking experience as an important tool for creativity and inspiration, and to adopt creative ideas in various areas of work. The Emirates Talent Association took it upon itself to be the ‘Incubator for Innovation’ and the creators of the ‘Sons of the Nation,’ and is seeking to implement the National Innovation Strategy launched by HHSheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make the UAE one of the most innovative countries in the world over the next seven years. The Emirates Talent Association also took the initiative to attract people who have creative abilities to benefit from them, and reflect that benefit to the nation and society as a whole. Since its inception in 1998, the Association has adopted gifted students, and called for national institutions and bodies to contribute to this nation-wide programme action, with many meetings held with government and private organisations to enhance their role and emphasise achieving the Association’s objectives to highlight on this important segment of society.
