Note by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA on launching the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative

“We appreciate the launch of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative will contribute to improving living standards in Dubai and achieving the Smart Dubai initiative to make Dubai the smartest city in the world. It also supports the Dubai Plan 2021 for Dubai Government to be pioneering and excellent, and proactive and creative in meeting the needs of individuals and society as a whole. The Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative supports the vision of His Highness to promote communications with citizens, residents, and visitors through a smart platform that gives everybody the chance to provide positive ideas and suggestions to improve government services to the highest standards,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA. “This initiative supports the National Innovation Strategy launched by His Highness to make the UAE one of the most innovative countries in the world and encourage creative ideas and suggestions. This is achieved through an innovative platform that enables direct interaction. The platform helps government organisations to receive creative ideas and suggestions to be implemented, which benefits generations to come. Society’s suggestions and remarks and brain-storming sessions that public and private organisations hold have become necessary tools for continuous development and improvement, and improving happiness and satisfaction with government services. As His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has observed that, the government’s job is to achieve happiness for people, added Al Tayer.
