Al Tayer welcomes British Consul General for Dubai & Northern Emirates

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received HE Paul Fox, British Consul General for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, during his recent visit to DEWA. Accompanying the Consul General were members of the British Diplomatic Corps. The visit maintained good relations and strengthened cooperation between the two parties, particularly on smoother exchanges of information and knowledge. Ahmed Abdullah, Senior Manager of External Communications at DEWA, was also present during the meeting.







Al Tayer welcomed the British Consul, noting that the two countries enjoy strong ties that have led to many achievements and positive results, particularly in energy. 







Al Tayer also focused on DEWA’s current projects and strategic initiatives, which include the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar park and the Hassyan clean coal power plant. He also discussed DEWA’s Smart Grids project and its three smart Initiatives that are part of Dubai’s Smart City vision for 2021.







The British Consul General commended DEWA’s services, facilities and efforts in energy for Dubai.
