MD and CEO meets staff and commends them for DEWA’s winning 6 awards at DGEP

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA congratulated staff on the awards DEWA received at the 19th Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP). His Excellency celebrated DEWA’s winning of the Distinguished Government Entity with EVPs, VPs, and DEWA’s management team. Al Tayer visited DEWA’s divisions and departments and met with the staff. He praised their efforts and encouraged them to do their best to achieve more in the future. He also met with DEWA’s Excellence Team and praised their efforts.

DEWA staff congratulated MD & CEO on the excellent results DEWA achieved this year. They emphasised that the unlimited support of the MD & CEO to DEWA staff was a major factor in motivating them to excel and achieve these remarkable results.

Al Tayer noted that, thanks to the vision and directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, DEWA will continue to achieve success with its ambitious initiatives, development projects, and ongoing efforts to be at the forefront by adopting the highest international standards, in line with its vision to become a sustainable innovative world-class utility.

DEWA’s divisions and departments celebrated the results by distributing flowers and cutting cakes. EVPs and VPs celebrated the important achievement with their teams and took photographs to mark the occasion. Jassim Rajab, Financial Controller at DEWA, celebrated with the Finance department DEWA’s receiving the Financially Distinguished Performance award. Khawla Al Mehairi, VP of Marketing and Corporate Communications, shared the division’s staff celebrations of DEWA receiving the Distinguished Entity in Government Communications award. Rashid Bin Humaidan, Executive Vice President of Distribution Power celebrated with his team DEWA’s winning the Creative Idea award.

DEWA won 6 awards at DGEP 2016 in the categories of Distinguished Government Entity, Financially Distinguished Performance, Distinguished Entity in Government Communications, Distinguished Creative Idea, and Distinguished Technical/Engineering Employee, and the Unknown Soldier award.
