Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a Suhoor gathering for its employees. The gathering was attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Executive Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, and DEWA employees. The gathering was held at Palazzo Versace Dubai, and included various activities and a presentation on scientific research by Engineer Abduldaem Al Kaheel, a scientific researcher.
“I am pleased to congratulate His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, their Highnesses the Members of the Supreme Council, and Rulers of the Emirates, Their Highnesses the Crown Princes, the Sheikhs, the UAE Government, and citizens and residents of the UAE, on the occasion of Ramadan, may God Almighty bless us during this time,” said Al Tayer.
“His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum once said, “My advice to any leader, whether of a country, a company, a team or anything else, is to unite hearts before uniting efforts, and to feel the spirit before building the place.” Based on these words, DEWA is committed to enhancing the social cohesion, values, and traditions of the UAE community, while giving priority to tolerance, and respecting the rights of human beings. This is a result of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum establishing the two ministries for tolerance and happiness,” added Al Tayer.
“I am glad to be here on the occasion of Ramadan, in an atmosphere enriched with faith, altruism, and unity, emphasising the religious spirit of this month. Today’s event reflects our Corporate Social Responsibility, and our commitment to taking care of our staff, to create cohesion and solidarity among employees across all departments and divisions. I would like to thank you all for your accomplishments, and your efforts towards achieving DEWA’s goals, making our customers happy, and enhancing Dubai’s international position,” concluded Al Tayer.
DEWA’s Suhoor gathering is part of the cultural, social, and religious activities that DEWA regularly organises to establish a culture of cohesion and communication among all employees in different departments, to achieve the highest levels of loyalty, commitment, and satisfaction. At the end of the Suhoor gathering, attendees took part in a draw to win two prizes of performing Umrah, winners were honoured, and giveaways were distributed to all attendees.
