DEWA concludes Ramadan Sports Tournament
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has successfully concluded its Ramadan Sports Tournament, which took place from 12 to 26 June 2016 with many DEWA employees taking part. The tournament was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre and included sports such as badminton, basketball, volleyball, football, and cricket. This supports DEWA’s efforts to enhance the happiness of employees and promote positivity as a major factor of the UAE’s community.

“DEWA is committed to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and implementing the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into the smartest, and happiest city in the world. We encourage DEWA employees to adopt sport as a part of their lifestyle, and organise tournaments during the Holy Month of Ramadan to enrich values and team-work, in an encouraging environment. This harvests positive energy while discovering the talent of the youth, and developing it,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

DEWA’s Ramadan Sports Tournament is organised annually following its success in previous years, with more participating teams, and better performance.
