267 volunteers from DEWA distributed the UAE flag to citizens’ homes. The staff distributed 5,000 flags in various residential areas in Dubai. 50 employees participated in the Flag Day initiative, organised by Watani Al Emarat Foundation, at the Union Museum in Dubai. The initiative aims to involve volunteers in making society aware of the flag protocol, its symbolism of unity and cohesion, and how to deal with it and respect it. This was part of DEWA’s participation as the main sponsor for the Flag Day initiative, organised by Watani Al Emarat.
Flag Day celebrations included various National and traditional activities in DEWA’s offices and buildings, including planting flags, and a traditional shop which remains until the end of November. Electronic newsletters were sent to staff about the protocol of dealing with the UAE flag and the correct way of using it.
