Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is the gold sponsor of the awareness campaign organised by Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, on the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. On this day, we commend the role of the UAE’s wise leadership, in promoting the status of women, and protecting their rights. The number of female victims of violence in the UAE remains extremely low compared to other countries around the world. The UAE tops global ranking in terms of treating women with respect and reducing the gender gap. We also applaud the efforts of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children in assisting victims of domestic violence, and informing society about the laws that protect women, and guarantee all their rights. It also encourages all members of society to actively stand against all forms of abuse against women and children.
