Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced that 15 leading Taiwanese companies will participate at WETEX 2019 being organised by DEWA, under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and President of DEWA. WETEX 2019 coincides with the 4th edition of the Dubai Solar Show, which forms part of the 6th Green Week, set to take place from 21 – 23 October 2019 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
The Taiwanese companies, which will be part of the Taiwan Pavilion, will showcase the latest technologies and innovations in water flow control systems, reverse osmosis and water purification systems, thermal insulation technologies, sewage treatment and waste disposal systems, desalination plants and other technology solutions and services.

Taiwan has an ambitious national agenda to promote renewable energy generation. It is one of the most innovative countries in green industries such as energy storage and smart grids, while looking to increase its share of renewable energy over the coming years.
