DEWA organises Ramadan gathering for its employees

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a Ramadan Gathering for its employees at Armani Hotel Dubai. The gathering was attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and DEWA’s Executive Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents. Sheikh Suleiman Al Jubailan and Islamic Chanter Omar Al Taheri

HE Al Tayer congratulated the staff on the Holy Month of Ramadan, noting that the Holy Month always reminds us of spirituality and its aim in spreading peace, love, harmony, compassion, and self-discipline. He added that the Ramadan Gathering is part of DEWA’s commitment to provide a motivating work environment for employees that strengthen brotherhood, cohesion and reflects the authentic values of Emirati society of tolerance, love, and solidarity. This meeting also comes as DEWA is entering a new phase of its success and excellence.

“As we commemorate the beliefs of Islam during this holy month of fasting and good deeds, Ramadan reminds us of the importance of working and worship in Islam. It encourages us to spread benevolence and exert our efforts to serve others, promote tolerance, respect, and acceptance of others in accordance with the teachings of Islam, and the values and traditions of Emirati society, which is known for its solidarity, fraternity, hospitality, and charity to the afflicted. Charity is rooted in the culture of the people of the UAE, following the approach of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, who wanted to spread goodness all over the world. Our wise leadership is following in his footsteps,” said Al Tayer.

“I am pleased that we are gathering again in one place. The UAE has become one of the fastest countries to rebound from the pandemic. In these blessed days, we pray to Almighty Allah to protect the wise leadership so that the UAE continues to be a beacon of humanitarianism and charity and spreading its message of peace and tolerance around the world. We ask Allah to make this Holy Month a month of benevolence and blessings for the UAE’s leaders, government, and people, to achieve the aspirations of Arab and Islamic nations, and all peoples in a world full of peace, security, and prosperity. May Allah accept from us all our good deeds,” added Al Tayer.

The Suhoor featured a religious lecture by Sheikh Suleiman Al Jubailan and Islamic chants by Islamic Chanter Omar Al Taheri, as well as draws on valuable prizes.

DEWA’s employees extended their congratulations to the UAE’s wise leadership on the Holy Month of Ramadan and expressed their appreciation to DEWA’s top management for organising such events that bring together employees as one family.
