The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Women’s Committee organised more than 50 social and professional activities and workshops in 2025, engaging over 1,400 female employees. The initiatives sought to equip them to keep pace with rapidly evolving challenges while improving communication skills, reinforcing a culture of teamwork and better integrating workplace and community roles. An impressive 96% of female employees expressed satisfaction with the committee’s performance.
“In line with the vision of the wise leadership and directives of DEWA’s top management, the DEWA Women’s Committee continues its efforts to empower female employees by implementing initiatives and programmes designed to deliver sustainable impact. These initiatives aim to strengthen capabilities, encourage the unleashing of creative potential and support a healthier work-life balance, while enhancing women’s constructive participation in DEWA’s journey of comprehensive and sustainable development. The committee also supports DEWA’s broader efforts to highlight women’s contributions to the national economy and excellence in government work, by providing them with the tools and enablers needed to advance national objectives and contribute to the development of future generations,” said Fatima Al Jokar, Chairperson of the DEWA Women’s Committee.
Committee Vice Chairperson Aysha Al Asam Almazrouei said: “We launch initiatives and programmes that help refine the skills and knowledge of female employees, and provide opportunities that support their aspirations for continuous learning and growth across all fields.”
