DEWA honours 34 employees for distinguished performance

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) honoured 30 technical employees in the Special Act category, and four employees in the Best Cable Jointers category for their commitment and hard work, and improve the overall performance. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA along with Maryam Al Mutaiwei, SM – Personnel Management, honoured the distinguished employees at an awards ceremony held at DEWA Headquarters in the presence of EVPs, senior officials, and employees from DEWA. “This honouring is as part of our strategy to promote a positive work environment and further encourage our distinguished employees and motivate them to continuously strive for excellence. These awards increase our staff productivity and maximise positive competitiveness,” said Al Tayer. Al Tayer honoured the Transmission Power engineers, who participated in executing Power works at Metro Dubai Substation. The engineers are: K. H. Srinivas Reddy, Mir Manjoor Rahim, Mohammed Ruhul Quddus, Mohammed Asim Khan Mohammed, Pajagopal Rajmohan, Mohammed Tariqul Islam Nizam Uddin, Wael Mohammed Abdulrahman, Priya Vijay, Sony Antony, Jalaudeen Siyam, Mohammed, Siddig Al Hassan, Ehab Hassan Ahmed Hassan, Abed Hussain Baig, Jihan Murad Mohammed, and Ganesh Subramanian. Al Tayer also honoured the Maintenance Team of Transmission Power Division, who has successfully replaced the defective bus-bar and bellows on MUSH-WRSN feeder at Mushrif 400 kV substation and achieved a total cost saving of AED 813000. The team members are: Zainuddeen Kadalakaran Caboo, Abdel Azim Mohammed Al Garh, Ferid Rehic, Abdul Basheer Arapoyil, Khaled Abdulfatah, Yogaraja Singara Velu, Iyam Radhakrishnan, James Tan Jadraque, Madhur Nair, Santhosh Kumar Kootaplavil, Pedric Richard Pinto, Khair Ur Rahman, and Philip Samuel V P Samuel. The winners of Best Cable Jointers Award are: Abdul Samad Thayath, Venkateswarlu Satyavada, Ghulam Qaudir, and Ponnudurai Muthulinga Nadar.
