Absher Office meets and learns from Employees of Determination about their needs to ensure their integration in the workplace

The Absher Office, in the Business Support & Human Resources Division, held its regular meeting with DEWA’s Employees of Determination working at different branches. The meeting was to learn about their work needs, and ensure their accessibility to buildings, facilities, services and information. This is part of DEWA’s efforts to integrate and empower People of Determination.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said that DEWA is committed to meeting the requirements of people of determination, in line with the National Policy to Empower People of Determination, launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This will create an inclusive society that ensures empowerment and a decent life for people of determination and their families. “We also support the ‘My Community... a City for Everyone’ initiative, launched by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, to transform Dubai into a city that is friendly for People of Determination by 2020. DEWA is committed to achieving the UAE National Agenda for inclusive employment, to enhance the capabilities of people of determination and provide them with professional and operational skills that support their economic and social independence,” said Al Tayer.

Dr Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources, noted that DEWA provides a work environment that enable people of determination to unleash their capabilities and potential. This also enhances their inclusion in society, and involves them in society as capable and creative individuals. DEWA launched the Absher initiative to take care of its staff who are people of determination. It involves a dedicated team of qualified specialists in human resources, in addition to a hotline to streamline their procedures.
