Rashid Al Ahmadi, Chief Operating Officer of InraX explained the services that InfraX Network Operations Centre provides.

“The InfraX Network Operations Centre is the result of our strategic partnership with Huawei, a global leader in ICT solutions. This centre supports the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to anticipate and shape the future. As His Highness once said, “The future is not something we wait for, but something we make. We look ahead into the future and predict and shape it by being proactive in innovating and employing future technologies to bring about development and growth, and build a knowledge-based economy.” The Centre will be a valuable addition to the digital infrastructure of the UAE, by using DEWA’s fibre-optic network as a secure, reliable, and super-fast means of increasing efficiency and performance. These accord with the vision of our wise leadership, and the future needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” said Al Tayer.

Al Tayer said that DEWA’s partnership with Huawei includes several future projects such as Big Data Management, Perimeter and ICT Infrastructure Security, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. DEWA and Huawei collaborate to promote a new digital future for Dubai in several areas that align with DEWA’s objectives. This is part of the Dubai 10X initiative to develop innovative disruptive technologies for Dubai Government’s services, putting them 10 years ahead of other global cities.

“We have come a long way by launching Digital DEWA, the digital arm of DEWA and the world’s first digital utility to use autonomous systems for renewable energy, storage, and expansion in AI adoption and digital services. InfraX, the IT and telecommunications arm of Digital DEWA, provides its customers with value-added data centre and cloud services. The Network Operations Centre, which is equipped with the latest systems and technologies will work round the clock to ensure the health and key performance indicators of the network and provide pioneering services to customers,” added Al Tayer.

Al Tayer thanked Huawei for its fruitful efforts, hoping to maintain the outstanding strategic partnership between the two sides to reshape the traditional concepts of work mechanisms, keep pace with rapid global developments and make more pioneering achievements in the future.
